Myrtle Beach's Grand Strand has become one of the most popular places for camping on the East Coast. Many local campgrounds as well as two South Carolina State Parks where visitorc can camp, are positioned on the Atlantic Ocean. Entertainment, restaurants and shows are onsite or nearby.

Myrtle Beach State Park
The S.C. State Park Service has a central reservation system to improve customer access to its park cabins, campsites and other camping facilities. Myrtle Beach State Park is at the south end of Myrtle Beach. It has 350 camp sites and some cabins. Call them to reserve a camp site. 843-238-5325.
Park hours 6 a.m.-10 p.m. daily. Park admission of $5 for ages 16 and older, $1.50 for ages 6-15 and free for ages 5 and younger. S.C. residents 65 or older $2.50.

Huntington Beach State Park
Huntington Beach State Park is located in Murrells Inlet near Broookgreen Gardens. This state park offers camping, fishing, coastal hiking trails and general access to three miles of remote beach. Site of the Spanish-style castle Atalaya, former winter home and studio of noted American sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington. Park hours are 6 a.m.-10 p.m. daily. Ages 16 and older $5, ages 6-15 $3, ages 5 and younger free. S.C. residents ages 65 and older and S.C. disabled residents $3.25.
